See Photos and Videos in Thailand by Alan Foos

I came to Thailand almost four years ago to retire, and have really, really loved it. I have had some bad experiences, but nothing compared to the joys of living here.  To help others learn from the experiences I have had, I've created a web site where I've put hundreds of the thousands of pictures and videos I've taken in Thailand.

It's a good site, much better than just plain dazzling vacation photos, because these are taken in daily life settings and are very natural.

Visitors can get a feel for what it's like here, make their comments on my blog, or send me an email, too. 

I wouldn't worry about the chaotic politics in Thailand. It's a little unnerving at times, but I MUCH prefer it to life in the US.  Most of the time I've lived in a small town north of Chiang Mai called Maerim, and I currently live a bit south of Chiang Mai in Hang Dong.
