Please give us a short summary of your website?
When we started in the car rental business, we were focused only on Balkans (especially the ex-Yugoslavia countries). Due to development of our network we came to an agreement with many more car rental companies across Europe and are now offering car rentals for car hire in almost all European countries. We are adding new countries while you read this.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
We needed the central reservation system for all countries together contrary to our past practice when we had a single website for a single country.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Our first website was www.nationalcar.si for car rentals in Slovenia.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Our company name is Izzivizzi so we took first part of the word and the rest is quite obvious.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We know the market and we know the business. Our prices are lowest in industry due to direct contracts with local car rental providers and lowest possible margin thanks to well organized work process. We are achieving high customer satisfaction and practically no complaints - reducing our after-sale costs significantly.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To be the number one car rental provider in Europe.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
We have already returned the invested money and we are now focused on expansion.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
We would probably focus on multilingual websites. Content is king ...
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Of course, we are well organized.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Google is really, really slowly accepting new domains ;-)
What has been your biggest challenge?
Persuading customers we are trust worthy. We are on-line only retailers.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Google, Google, Google.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Customers want to be really sure before they create a reservation. That requires a lot of support.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
This new site is up one year and we intend to keep it for good.
Will you do the rest of the world?
We are thinking about central Asia. This is still pretty much undiscovered area and still in development but they are developing fast due to high oil prices.
