Name of your website?

New Horizon Sail and Dive Adventures

Your name?

Tony Bridgewater

Your Location (city, etc)

Cairns, Great Barrier Reef

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Information regarding Sailing and Diving on the Great Barrier Reef, Australia

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To assist in the marketing of our company.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

1994, I had several a joke site , restaurant review site.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It was a subject that we specialize in.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We specialize in small groups and more personal attention. Taking only 10 people to the reef they get to see the natural wonder of the world without rigid schedules. They also get to see the Great Barrier Reef without the crowds for a more personal experience.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

For more people to get to experience the Great Barrier Reef the way mother nature intended.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Very well, the website gives us more direct access to our customer base.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Unlimited time would be better then budget. Ahhh, the things we could do.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes our business is set up to cope with sudden demands so scales very well.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Copycats, the web gives you the chance to develop and create with very little limitations yet people don't seem to take advantage of this as much as they should.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Working within the limits of hosting providers.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Cross promotional efforts work well. Search engines and directories also help build traffic steadily.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Not really

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

It has been running for two years and hopefully will be running for many more.

What is your website address?

New Horizon Sail and Dive Adventures
