Philippine Travel Guide and Destination Interview

By Interviewer at 12/16/08 09:03

Name of your website?

Philippine Travel Guide and Destination

Your name?

Benedict Evan Nallos

Your Location (city, etc)

Cebu City

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Etravelpilipinas.com is a Philippine online travel guide and conprehensive information about Philippine travel, hotels and beach resorts, travel tips, tourist attractions and vacation getaway.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I want to give more information about the Philippines and its beauty to travelers who have not visited my country. People around the globe can also see latest news and update about Philippine Tourism.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I have launched my first website in 2003 and that was about real estate in the Cebu Philippines. The url of my first website is http://www.cebuislandproperties.com/

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Since I will feature real estate properties in Cebu Island, I name it Cebu Island Properties.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

There are many Philippine sites out there and some of them are similar in my website. What makes my site different from them is that I have included the history and culture of the Philippines combined with the news and update of Philippine tourism and the list of hotels, beach resorts and tourist attractions.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My goal is to give information as much as I could about Philippines and to keep it for income.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

If I have an unlimited development budget, then maybe I will make my site also for a secure online booking. But right now, I will keep my site the way it is.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Everyday, my site is getting bigger. But still I am able to keep up the demand.

What has been your biggest challenge?

The biggest challenge that I have encountered is gathering precious information about the tourist attraction since I don't travel a lot around Philippines.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Promoting my site through SEO, social networking and link submission.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

My site is running for a year now I am happy for the outcome of my right site right now.

What is your website address?
