Please give us a short summary of your website?

We are a small luxurious bed and breakfast located in Peterborough Ontario. Located on water, with 7 acres of lawn, fields, and scrub. We enjoy our little bit of heaven. We share this area with our resident pets which include 2 sika deer, a watch goose and black German Shepherd dogs. Once a year, we usually have puppies.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

It was a way to improve my mind as well as my business. I now maintain 3 sites. Two for my B&B and one for my black German Shepherds

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My first site was a .com site. I picked up a $25 package from Radio Shack. It was a template package. When I outgrew this site, I learned more about HTML so that I can upgrade my site myself. I still cannot do a site from scratch

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I named it after the world famous Peterborough Liftlocks. It worked out to be an excellent idea.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

The fact that I can change the sites daily (text and pictures) if need be. My competitors need to wait for their webmaster.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To earn a living. Presently 90% of my income comes from the internet. Might sell the name when I retire.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I don't balance it with time and money.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Nothing. Doesn't have anything to do with money

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Sure could. Increase prices and not work so hard

What has been your biggest challenge?

keeping up with new technology

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

analysing my competitors

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

5 years for one site, two years for second site, 3 months for German Shepherd site
