It covers a wide range of subjects from Islamic Art through the Weather into the ancient Frankincense Trade.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
With Oman tucked away in the Arabian Peninsular we hope it will give people an insight of Oman behind the mountains, desert and sea.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
We launched a small website several years ago about travel into Oman
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The name came by chance.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Perhaps a few more subjects
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
We don’t intend to sell it – it’s our baby
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
We don’t really think of it like that – it’s a service rather than a profit device
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Well – perhaps make the whole blog article appear in a separate screen (is that Java Flash?) when the mouse passes over it.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
If it got too big we would have a heart attack from shock.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The main headache has been lack of knowledge in doing these things and perhaps as a result of a slightly clunky operating program.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Finding time to add material
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
People come across it when they look for things on Oman so maybe search engines and directories are important
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Well we had hoped to do entries about once a week – but time demands mean that it’s less than that.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We have been doing it for about 8 months now and hope to keep going for years.

Yes, and its good to look back on what happened weeks ago.
