Please give us a short summary of your website?

The website shows a few wheelchair accessible holiday homes in different parts of the world.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I'm a wheelchair user myself and was always disappointed with the quality of accessible holiday homes.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I launched my website in 2000 starting with the holiday home in Hungary in Dutch adapted for disabled people. Dutch URL www.gehandicapten.com

How did you decide on a name for your website?

A mix of words known by future customers.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Private owned, excellent service, good knowledge of overcoming hurdles, good imagination of the situation disabled are in.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To give disabled persons and wheelchair users their holiday of a lifetime.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Equals.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Interactive website. Handicapped client can look around sitting in his wheelchair.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

No.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Keep website up to date in different languages and names of aids for disabled and handicapped people.

What has been your biggest challenge?

To reach disabled over the world.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Link exchange with other diability sites.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Possibilities are limited because the website is designed with frontpage.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

This English version is one year old. Continue for at least ten years.

Should websites be accessible to all people?

Yes, everyone should be able to read websites with or without a handicap. So blind people, disabled people, wheelchair users, deaf people, etc.

What is your website address?

Accessible holidays for wheelchair users and disabled
