A promotion of our self catering accomodation in our typical Tuscan property, now on the borders of Umbria and Tuscany with great views.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To promote our property to the world

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

About 15 years ago when we ran a telecommunications company.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It's the name of our house

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We cater for groups of up to 12, in a homelike stay so large families, friends can have an affordable holiday togther.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To get repeat customers and a reasonable income. Eventually sell as a going concern.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Slowly, especially with the ecconomic down turn but it is our home too so we get to enjoy it all year round.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Put in under floor heating

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes we're here 24/7

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Italy is a bureaucratic nightmare and makes Manyana look like a rush. Everything costs and takes twice as long as anticipated.

What has been your biggest challenge?

The language

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

magazine advertising, unfortunatly.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

The responce has been slower than expected

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
