What inspired you to launch your own website?
Chennai is fast developing metropolitan cities, but the public transportation is very bad. Call Taxis, Cab service never pick you up in time. Many of the Rental car service provider doesn't have the option for car rental reservation. Every time you need to call a single number which is always engaged. So CarRentalChennai.com has been started for better customer service. Where Customer can use our website or phone number to thier Rental car needs.

CarRentalChennai.com is the first website developed by us to support Rental Cars Operation on May 1999.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Initially we thought of having it on our business Name Balu Travels. But we were advised by internet marketers to choose the "Car Rental" keyword search terms.

We build the one stop package site from airport pickup, hotel reservation, car rental, tour package to all the indian tourist. Also expand the Rental service to Corporates.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
We constantly upgrade to latest technologies like microsoft .NET and concentrate on building better IT team. Even Outsource some of the IT services such as Server monitoring, DBA, Networking and etc.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Drivers often quit without giving notice is the major issue. Many drivers doesn't even finished the schooling, so communication with passengers often be a problem.

Convincing my father that I can move this Business to online.

Keeping this site live doesn't cost us much. We are hosting this site on Shared hosting provider like godaddy.com. There is no way this Rental site can fail to pull the converting traffic. Because the online usage among indian consumer is doubling every six months, and internet spending has increased 24 fold since 2000. This site may grow bigger but there is no way be offline.
