I am originally from the Philipines and I am now living in Calabasas, CA, about 30 minutes from Los Angeles.
Why did you take this trip?
My son lives on Kauai and I was able to kill 2 birds with one stone. Visit family and see one of the most beautiful island in all the world.

Describe this place. What details made is such a unique experience?
Kauai is truly a tropical paradise. The water is warm, the ocean is all shades of blue. The vegetation is so green you wouldn't believe all the plants and flowers were real. And there are soooooo many coconut trees everywhere.
What was your favorite experience?
My favorite thing that we did on Kauai was take a trip down the Na Pali Coast with Capt. Andy's. The Na Pali is amazing, and the 22 mile hike (round trip) was a little too long for my current fitness level, so sailing on a luxury catamaran down the coast was a nice alternative. We saw a bunch of dolphins and stopped to snorkel in a protective cove where I saw colorful fish and even a sea turtle. I booked my trip through: http://www.napali.com
Will you go back there again, or is the memory too perfect to risk tarnishing it by a second visit with unrealistic expectations?
I will definitely go back to Kauai again. I hope to retire there to spend time with my son and future grandchildren.
How have you told people about it, and how have you encouraged people to go there themselves?
I recommend visiting Kauai to all my friends and family. Actually, one family friend even came out and met us because of my recommendation. She loved the experience as much as I did.
Who were you with when you had this experience, and did they share in seeing it as an unforgettable moment?
I was with my son and his fiance and my other son and husband when we went down the Na Pali. My youngest son who lives with me in California won't stop talking about the trip. He has taken the photos of our boat ride with him to school to share with his class. His favorite part was the dolphins.
What will you do in the future to try to top this experience?
My son who lives on Kauai says he wants to take me on a vacation to Hana on the island of Maui. He promises that there is a beach there made completely of red sand that is supposed to be spectacular.
