The BEAR HAUS mountain rental home in Helen, Georgia is within a mile of the Chattahoochee river. It's perfect for a romantic getaway or a cozy overnight Georgia mountain weekend with the family in the mountains. It is the first mountain community, north of Atlanta, w/i 90 minutes or a a one tank trip.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I have been doing websites successfully and I can think of no better way to promote it.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
2001 for Natural Remi-Teas.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I wanted something which described where it was.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Hot tub with two pumps for a deeper massage. Quiet with no lot to the left and 50 feet of woods on the right.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To pay it off.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It will help when real estate market finishes bottoming out. With real estate you have to be in it for at least 10 years.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would add large screen televisions.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, we have a experienced staff that has 10 years experience with weary travelers.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Getting the hot tub up to the upper deck. I had to hire a crane operator to help me with this.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Keeping up with changing technology. We added wireless internet and dvd in each bedroom last year.

Google
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I know more about my customers by studying the search terms that they were looking for.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
2 years, until I get out of the vacation business
What do I like best about Helen, Georgia
On hot days tubing down the Chattahoochee river. The scenery is wonderful. I also like hearing the clippity clop of the horse and carriages and hearing the acoustic local musicians in downtown Helen.
