The Tanoa Plaza Hotel in Suva provides a unique setting for both leisure and corporate travelers. Located on Fiji's main island - Viti Levu.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

It is to invite people to visit the lovely, tropical island of Fiji, and to provide them with the right accommodation, whether it is for vacation or business.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

The website was launched in May 2005. It was as it is now - the official hotel website of Tanoa Plaza

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It is simply named after the Tanoa Plaza hotel.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

The official hotel website offers the cheapest, best rates online as compared to other hotel booking engines in the Internet.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To secure reservations while providing the best hotel-booking experience to all our online guests.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Time and money are well invested since the site has been good at generating site visitors.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I will have to integrate the online marketing of the site to its offline marketing efforts.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I would have to invest my money for the site expansion.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None, as of the moment.

To rank the site in the search engines

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It has not differed much. I just need to give more time for it.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

2 years, and counting. I'll be running the site up until the hotel is still accepting guests.
