Bhutan travel guide Adventure Bhutan Interview
Name of your website?

Adventure Bhutan

Your name?

Pema Wangchu

Your Location (city, etc)

Thimphu

Please give us a short summary of your website?

My site contains travel information and information on Bhutan.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Launching of my website was more of a necessity than inspiration.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I don't remember when i first launched my website but it was about myself.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I gave it my name as i was a newbie and didn't know what to name it.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

It was different as i posted lot of things which i felt was unique in someway. Then internet was new in our country and i was trying out something new.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I want to keep improving it and make it one of the best websites in the country someday.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I feel i get what i put in. Initially It was frustrating to see my website take me nowhere but now i know its time and patience.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Then i could have done lot of things. A single person alone can't make a good website. A good website needs lot of updates daily which is difficult for a single person.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

If it got really big then i might have to employ additional person(s) to keep it up and running

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Its usually not the cost but understanding and learning lot of things which is a headache

What has been your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge has been to keep it looking good

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

advertisement has been quite successfull

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Its not so easy as we think and at the same time its not so difficult too once one gets the hang of it

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have run this site for over an year now and i plan to run it for several years more until there is some new discovery and it runs no more.

Final word

Patience is the key

What is your website address?
